The Sea City Museum contains some of the most prestigious event and exhibition space in the heart of Southampton. The museum opened on 10 April 2012 to mark the centenary of RMS Titanic departure from the city, tells the story of the people of Southampton, their fascinating lives and historical connections with the Titanic.
The Learning Deck - from £80ph 30 people, per room, seated in boardroom style
The learning Deck comprises of two flexible spaces available for a wide range of events and activities. Situated on the first floor, they are also ideally suited for refreshment breaks or conference breakout areas and training sessions.
The Grand Hall - from £165ph 60 people standing or 40 people cabaret
The imposing barrel-vaulted Grand Hall makes a dramatic backdrop for drinks receptions and networking events. Originally built in the 1930s, the Magistrates Court was one of the finest in the country. This historic Grand Hall features, white Portland stone walls, mahogany doors and a finely decorated ceiling.
The Galley and Atrium - £210ph 130 standing, 60 people theatre-style and 40 people cabaret
The Galley café welcomes visitors during the daytime, and by night doubles up as a beautiful space available to hire for your exclusive use. Adjoining the Galley café is the Atrium, which is ideal for evening drinks receptions or networking events.
Whole Museum - from £350ph Capacity for 500 people
To add an extra special element to your event the whole museum can be hired, outside of opening hours, for your exclusive use. The magnificent first floor galleries and special exhibition area promise to dazzle your guests, and can play host to exclusive evening events for approximately 500 guests. Please enquire directly.
The museum – based in the West Wing of the Civic Centre, SO14 7FY – is located within Southampton’s Cultural Quarter within easy access of the railway station and city centre car parking and close to the city centre parks.
